THE BOOR BY ANTON CHEKHOV
She was a sensitive widow, mourning her deceased husband and he was a bullish, brutish man who would disturb her sorrow… and all because of a little money!
Enjoy watching the sparks fly in this comic cat-and-mouse masterpiece by Russia’s foremost playwright. Challenging prejudice and stereotype, The Boor produces an illustration of timeless themes with potent intensity and humour in equal measure.
Poster Design - Emilio Bernard
Actor/Director Fraser MacLeod takes on the role of Smirnov. A former artillaryman and now a country landowner, he is in pursuit of money owed to him. He gets more than he bargained for when he meets Popova.
Ukrainian talent Inna breathes life into Popova. A widow still in mourning after seven months, she has closed herself away from the world. It is a serious inconvenience when the boorish Smirnov arrives at her door.
British actress and model Emma plays the servant Lusha. Long term hand-maiden to Popova begs for her mistress to move on from her husband. The results, however, are not what she had in mind!
